Module 6: Facility Management Compliance and Reporting
The last module in this course deals with the day-to-day running off waste facilities. Running a compliant facility is every operators objective and for complicated waste activities this requires a significant effort. The course has been designed to provide training for waste licence holders and also waste facility permit holders and deals with the key aspects of each type of authorisation. During the course delegates explore the conditions that are applied to typical licenced and permitted facilities and the processes by which the regulator seeks to ensure environmental compliance. The main aspects of environmental authorisation are explored, including emission control and monitoring, accident and emergency response, environmental liabilities risk assessment and closure and decommissioning. The course looks at many aspects of licence compliance and provides assistance in exploring the requirements for environmental management systems and other procedures that are required to be developed as part of a waste management licence or waste facility permit. During the course you will complete a number of relevant exercises that will provide a better understanding of how to achieve compliance . This course has proven popular both with facility operators and also with environmental regulators and explores a number of aspects of site inspection and auditing.
The contents of the course are as follows:
